Position Overview
Spectra Point Inc. is seeking a Telecommunication Manager to lead the implementation and delivery of telecommunication infrastructure projects for our clients. This role is responsible for managing project scope, schedules, budgets, and execution while ensuring client satisfaction and technical excellence. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on project delivery experience and a solid technical background in modern telecommunication infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of telecommunication infrastructure projects from initiation to completion
- Understand and control project scope, timelines, budgets, and technical requirements
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and cost controls
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and external vendors
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during project implementation
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and clients
- Support continuous improvement of project delivery processes within the PMO
Technical & Professional Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure technologies, including:
- FTTH (Fiber to the Home)
- DOCSIS-based cable networks
- Ability to interpret engineering designs, construction drawings, and technical specifications
- Solid understanding of telecom construction and deployment practices
- Post-graduate diploma in a relevant discipline (e.g., project management, telecommunications, networking) is a strong advantage
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
- Minimum 1+ years of hands-on experience delivering and managing telecommunication infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
Work Location & Travel
- Office-based role located in North York, Toronto
- Travel within Ontario may be required depending on project needs
